Benesch Law Presents: Blue/Silver Tournament 3

Judging on Friday will exclusively involve junior varsity and varsity judges, where all rounds will be virtual. On Saturday, all judges will be in-person at Von Steuben (5039 N. Kimball Ave). Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the tournament.
Meals and refreshments will be provided on Saturday. Pay is $25 per pre-elimination round and $30 per elimination round. Additional instructions and other logistics will be provided to you the week of the tournament. As a volunteer with Chicago Debates, you agree to uphold the standards laid out in the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
Qualifications for Volunteering
Anyone 18 and older is eligible to volunteer pending completion of a background check and any required training. Current high school students or those under 18 are also eligible pending they meet the following criteria. Regardless of age, any current debater must have participated in at least three tournaments before they are allowed to judge. Students in tenth grade and above are eligible to judge high school rookie, high school novice, and any level of middle school debate. Students in ninth grade are eligible to judge middle school debate. Students in eighth grade that compete for high school programs are not eligible to judge. Exceptions can be made with advance approval by the Volunteer Manager.
